How should VFS be setting up an IMMI account?
We will setup the accounts country wise where there will be an administrator for each country who will have access to create/ delete sub accounts. Instructions on creating the accounts are attached in the PDF document.
Reasoning and clarification from Canberra - If there is a separate organisation set up for each country – then the contact details within each country can be recorded against the organisation details for that country. If there is only one organisation set up for the global operation, then we can only record one set of address details for the whole organisation.
There needs to be at least one user in an organisation who can set up accounts for other users in the same organisation. This user also has the ability to assist with resetting passwords and can suspend accounts. It may be difficult to manage this for multiple countries from one place. If you have a separate organisation for each country, then you can have an administrator in each country to manage those specific accounts.
All users within an organisation can see all applications with any staff member in that organisation. This allows staff to transfer an application from one staff member to another (in case someone is sick or away on leave, for example). This could be difficult to manage at a global level. If there are separate organisations in each country, it is still possible to send applications from the organisation in one country to another country using the “Send” function. On the whole it would be better to set up an organisation in each country.
